lifters and push rods
First time using adjustable Push rods on a 2010 electra glide 96,
Using woods knight prowler lifters with fuel moto adjustable push rods @24 TP
According to Woods instructions, they want .120 to .140 preload
They have provided a push rods travel per turns with 24 teeth = .042 of travel instructions
If I shoot for .130 of preload am I right that's 3 full turns? ( .130 divided by .042 )
I primed the lifters with a oil can, but they want to prime the lifters by cranking the engine over until oil comes out of the lifters,
I know I need to pull the fuse for the fuel pump, What about the coil so there is no chance of a spark?

Don't worry about lifter prime, fire the motor up. There will be some rattling but it won't last long as the lifters pump up and oil is circulating in the system. .042 x 3 turns is actually .126". Most today are setting a bit more preload; at least .130"; many go to .145".
