Goldy Locks and the three windshields

Goldy Locks and the three windshields
about a year ago we started making windshields for the Road King Bikes.
We started out with the 21 inch shield, It was too tall.
Then we made a 17 inch windshield and it was too short for most folks,
then last month we finally finished a 19 inch windshield and for most people it was just right.
the 19 inch shield has turned out to be the windshield of choice for the majority of riders who are form 5 foot 8 inches to 6 foot 1 inches.
we started to see the best performance with a flip up on the top of the shield at a height where most people can still see over the top of the windshield.
Heres a couple of pics of the new shield at Laughlin last month.

I just ordered the clear 19" for my Road King today.
I hope it takes care of some mild buffeting I am getting at 60 mph +.
I cut the original 20" Harley shield down to 18.5" and it made no change in the buffeting. I hope the curve at the top helps smooth it out.
I can lower my head some and move forward slightly and the buffeting quits. My hope is that the LRS will move that pocket of calm air higher and further back.
