I passed a line of about 9 cages poking along the highway 10mph below the speed limit yesterday. Glanced down when the pass was done and I was over 130mph and didn't realize it. It was that solid and smooth.

As another rider said, one thing you will never hear a vrodder as is have you been over 100mph on the bike. Its just a matter of how often or how long it took them to do it. Mine was the ride home from the dealer LOL.

It would be nice to have a cruising 6th gear though for better mpg. Or a bigger difference between 4th and 5th as I only see about a 500rpm change.

That is pretty specific. I am sure there is a story to back that up.

What does the speedometer go up to? I saw a video of a V-rod and the needle as burried. I could not tell if it read 150 or 180. Maybe neither.

Wow, What kinda motor work do you guys have done to your Vrods that you are running 150 to 170 MPH.... Before I sold my Gsxr 750 I had port polish and bored to 955cc.. I was pushing almost 160hp and was running 9.96 in the 1/4mile at milan drapstrip, MI. The best I have see a Vrod do was 10.99 and that was a Vrod SE destroyer, which was from Detroit hd. I had my gsxr into the 160-170s, just shocked a VRod would push that...

My bike is stock except for vance hines pipes for sound. As I understand it a stock Vrod will push 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. I know because a guy at work who has tricked out cars wanted to see if he could beat me and by the specs he couldn't.

As I understand from most others stock bikes will hit the rev limiter with the speedo pegged in the 150-160 range.
