Fueling up is driving me nuts.

Fueling up is driving me nuts.
No matter how slowly I fill the tank I am left with a clean-up job.
Filling up the tank anything past 3/4 cannot be done... can it????
The only way you know when it is time to stop fueling is when it sprays back at you making a mess. Is there a special trick to filling it up???

Don't know about the V-Rods, but my dyna has a smaller hole inside the tank. I put the hose in there until it hits automatid shut off, then just top it off slosly. Usually just enough to round up to an even number. Art

Have you tried pushing it in further?
I can't believe I just put that in writing. Reminds me of the comedian who said that he didn't mind taking directions during sex, like "over here...there, that's it...faster...slower, but if she ever said deeper, she had betterr be talking about poetry."

Yo! Of course that's what we all have and do but the problem on the V-Rod fuel cell is it kicks back fuel before the shut of works.
Thanks

I would like to be able to help you, but I've never filled a V-rod before. I can see why you would be unhappy, that's a good lookin ride. I doin't know if this will help you or not, but when I fill my bike, I don't wait for it to click off, I watch the gas as it gets close to the top then I shut it off myself. I realize that we have different bikes, but maybe it will help you a little.
