I would love to have a pair of tank badges from a 2018 CVO StreetGlide or CVO Limited. Unfortunately you have to have a CVO VIN to purchase them. Anyone with either bike wanna make a quick $100? If so send me a private message.

You do not have to have a CVO to purchase the badges. As long as they don't say either CVO or Screaming Eagle on them they are just another Harley Davidson badge. They are not VIN specific.

 

these particular badges are vin protected. at least for right now. if you go to the boardtracker site and try to order them, there is a spot to enter your vin.

maybe hd is expecting a lot of demand for these. i'd like a set myself.

Most CVO specific parts are VIN protected. It is what it is.

CVO and Screamin' Eagle aren't the same F'n thing. There are TONS of Screamin' Eagle parts available to anyone who wants to pay the money. They are Harley's "hot rod" parts. CVO bikes are not "Screamin Eagle" bikes.

Not the end of the world for me. I think these badges/emblems are clean and contemporary and would look great on my bike, but if I can't get them, oh well....

 

Then explain to me how I was able to walk into my nearest HD Dealer three years ago and order a brand new set of badges right over the counter off of a 2012 FLHXSE to install on a different bike that's not a CVO model. Let me further explain the Screaming Eagle comment, if the Screaming Eagle parts are meant for a CVO model they are a VIN protected part.

The week the bikes were realease these tank badges were not vin protected. I know, dealer and I looked them up so I could order a second set.

Seems HD realized their mistake in not having them VIN protected. I'm glad they did. Its one of those parts that tend to make the CVO a little more special. The nicest tank badge I have seen in a long time

No kidding. And these badges are meant for CVO models and they definitely are VIN protected.
