97 Road King idle/throttle problem
I'm working on a 1997 Road King, and I'm trying to figure out why it idles up by aprox. 300 (or more) RPM's at intermittent intervals, and when it does, the throttle has a serious hesitation in it. Then it will idle back down to normal, and it's fine. No hesitation. Also, it doesn't start doing this until it's been running for about 15 minutes. I'm thinking it could be a heat issue with one of the components. It will do it for about 10 minutes or so, then idle down and run fine. It has a Power Commander III on it, but it does it whether it's hooked up or not. Would the crankshaft position sensor have anything to do with this? If anyone can help me, I'd certainly appreciate it. Thanks
