It doesn't have a separate tranny lube. The primary oil lubes the tranny.

A Sporty has 2 oils...primary and engine. Which plug did you pull?

I pulled a plug under what i think is the transmission (where the shifter is) toward to rear of it. Then I pulled the hose off the plug and drained the oil tank. What is the difference between the two?

The first drains the primary. The second drains the engine oil.

You can fill the primary thru either the inspection cover hole or derby cover hole.

HD makes a lube for it. Other people use other lubes. My Sporty has been running 30wt non-detergent motor oil in the primary for 3 decades and is still going strong.

I know this is probably a dumb question but is that one of the covers on the transmission or is it somewhere else? (These are so much more complicated)
