Default Stage 1 & Slip ons - do I need a fuel manager?

I have a totally stock '08 Ultra that I plan on adding a Stage 1 air filter system, and then a set of aftermarket slip on mufflers. I'm hoping to realize a little better performance, and a slightly throatier rumble. I'm not looking to make this thing into a rocket; but, when I ask the guys at my dealer they say I need to add a Supertuner as well or I'll "burn up" my motor. I get feeling they're just in the mind set of jacking bikes ups; but, I'm new to this so I don't know what to think. I guess one question I have is can the stock ECM handle the changes I'm thinking of with a re-programming, or do I need to consider something else? Any advice from some of you who've been around the block?

Hey blarson, im no expert but you need to add a ecm mod, V&H makes the fuel pack I installed mine myself, everyone also says the SE racetuner is the way to go but I would recomend having the stealership or someone who knows what there doing program it, unless ya buy the software and have computer skills,

you need the stage 1 download for your ECM or a feul management system such as a Power Commander, Fuel Pack etc.
