Just happened to stumble on to this group and found it has a lot of really good and interesting information. I recently moved from a 2001 FXD that I put 30K largely trouble free miles on to an 07 Road King Classic. I'm reading with interest some of the other member's experience's with the 07's. I have about 2000 miles on mine and have a minor issue with "surging", a moderate issue with 5th gear whine and am really concerned about the heat issue both from a comfort standpoint as well as the engine wear and tear factor. I haven't experienced the starting knock and the bolts in the coffee can noise some others have mentioned. Looking forward to others experiences and hopefully some solutions soon.
