Hello everyone.
I am Sridhar from Bangalore, India. Was a fan of Harley for long time and with Harley opening shop here locally, I am planning to own one.
Harleys are imported to India either as CBU (completely build unit) which attracts very high government taxes of 110% or CKD (completely knocked down kit) which still attracts high taxes of 40% as well has forcing to have assembly plant locally. These make Harley bikes very expensive, which is more than double of US price. With these factors, I have planned to have a Iron 883, though I like Soft tail classic.
I have made a booking of Iron 883 with a 2 month waiting period as Harley is constructing an assembly plant in India. Hope to ride one soon.
