Hello all
Hi,
Just like to introduce myself, I am a 41 year old police officer of 20 years, married with a 5 year old son. I have today bit the bullet and ordered myself a new Fatboy in red pearl, following a test ride on a soft tale delux. The new bike I have ordered is for March for the 07 plate for here in the UK. I have been looking at HD for almost 3 months, initially wishing to buy a V Rod. A few weeks ago I test rode the night rod special in which I thoroughly enjoyed, and was very close to buying one on the spot ( truely awesome bike). However I have had my share of crotch rockets, and although it was fast, it did not feel as fast as my old Triumph Speedtriple, which is a bike that I would pitch the v rods against, and I fancied a " new " type of riding experience. Rode the Triumph around Europe covering a different country every day, fantastic experience.
My last bike was a BMW 1150GS which I was lucky enough to tour europe on, and which it was in its element in the Pyrenee's riding between France and Spain.
My days of riding abroad are now limited with having a 5 year old son, so I wanted something to go out on a hot sunny day and just chill and enjoy the experience. Have I made the right choice, only time will tell.
Anyway thats enough from me. Safe Riding !
