Default Need advise on larger sideplates for passenger backrest on 2008 Road King

Just joined a few forums, got my 2008 Road King FLHR one month ago (260 miles).
Hoping to find some info on moving the passenger backrest from H-D 3 inches back, so the full seat can be used by my wife without pushing me forward (and we´re both regular size...). I like the standard seat, not sure if I need the Tallboy. I am 6' 4" 190lbs and the wife 5'5", 140lbs
The H-D passenger backrest makes last 3 inches of seat useless. I know tourpack will resolve, but want backrest for around town and local trips.
