New Member from NE FL
Hey there y'all. New member here from NE FL checking in!
My primary ride is a '99 Police Electra Glide. I picked her up from Boswell's HD in Nashville a few years ago when I was visiting my family. I ride about 15k miles a year. I go up to Little Sturgis each year, The pic attached is my bike and campsite last year.
I also have a 93 Lowrider I'm trying to unload. I dont ride it nearly as much as I should, so I'm trying to put her in a home where she'll get more attention.
Been riding about 18 years. Nearly 10 years ago, I went end over end riding beyond my limits around a curve and my left leg wrapped itself around a telephone pole. I didn't walk for nearly 6 months. But as soon as I could walk, I was riding again! Most cagers call me stupid, but I just laugh knowing they're the ones missing out.
I'm retired Navy (nuclear mechanic), medically retired actually. I served on three submarines, two in Pearl Habor and one in Kings Bay, GA. My first boat was the USS Topeka SSN 754. My second boat was the USS Key West SSN 722. On that boat, I was part of Operation Enduring Freedom. We were underway on our way to the Gulf for support ops and recon when 9/11 happened. We didn't actually see pictures for about 3 months. We just sat out there waiting for the order to fire missiles. I can say we fired missiles, but not how many. Although you can read all about it at Navy.mil. My last boat before I retired was the USS Louisiana Blue SSBN 743.
I make my living now as a pro photographer. Most of what I shoot is weddings, portraits, and events. I also shoot babe features for my motorcycle e-zine (see my sig - don't wanna come off as spammy). I also shoot for a pretty popular eye-candy website in addition to my e-zine. I know what most of you are going to say, "Must be awful!" or "Boy you got a hard job!" but if you say that you have no clue. Shooting naked women isn't all it's cracked up to be. Plus, I really enjoy weddings and portraits more.
I'm really not going to post a link to my e-zine in this thread. Although it is in my sig. It has a forum in it and I don't want to come off as spammy or trying to compete. The e-zine is really more motorcycle news than a community like this site, but I want to get the blessing of the mods and stay of trouble. There's a lot of cool stuff here and I hope to be able to make a contribution as well as benefit from this forum.
Anyway, that's me in a nutshell. I'm kinda long winded. Now on to posting!
Mike

Damn, it's 50 down here and I'm chilly. But 33! It's a good thing my police cruiser has heated hand grips!
