I ride an 08 Roadking. There is a whinning noise inside the primary only after I put it in gear and it stays there after going back to nuetral. I have taken the primary cover off and everything looks good. Does anyone know if I can run the engine w/the primary off w/o doing any damage?

Never mind. Found the answer elsewhere. Cant run w/primary off without doing damage to the friction plates. Found the whinning noise.

Are you talking about the primary cover. You would blow oil all over your leg and shorten the life of your clutch with no oil cooling it,but yeah,I guess you could but why would you want to
