Truth be told, I have lurked the HD forums for a while. Every time I Google a specific HD question, one of the top answers usually pops up with a thread here.
Anyway, back to me.
Long time metric rider. Sport bikes and cruisers. Then, I saw my first NightTrain in black denim, in person. In that perfect moment...I got it.
Fast forward 6 years later and a close friend of mine won a rental from a local HD dealership. He gave it to me, I rented a StreetGlide, and we rode to a Toby Keith concert. In one word...amazing.
Cruise, the faring, a radio, the suspension, the sound...I knew then I wanted a bagger.
That took me on a quest and I found the perfect bike. 2008 Ultra, Anniversary Edition, 1 owner, Vance & Hines, stage 1 intake, remap of control module, 3686 on the odometer (yes, you read that correctly), $13k. I stole it from the dealership. No, it wasn't a HD dealership. This beauty was traded in and I rescued it.
Good news, I pick it up on Saturday. Bad news, I live in Ohio. So a good ride on it isn't expected until April.
I guess my initial questions are: What, if any issues are there with the '08's? Any issues with 96 CI motor? I ran the VIN through the HD database and there was recall on it and the work has been performed.
As a newbie to this site (as a member), and as a newbie to HD's...any info that you experienced folks could pass along would be great.

I do have a few pics of it but they were taken at and by the dealership. Its an anniversary edition Ultra...we all know what they look like...but, if someone wants to see this one, I'll post a link to the dealership listing.
