Introduction
Hello folks,
New member here. Live in Houston, TX and ride a 07 Softail Springer Classic with a stage one kit. I did the dumbest thing the other day..forgot to turn off the ignition switch for 2 hours with a new battery. Deader than a door nail when I returned from lunch. Finally had to Jump start from a vehicle. Did I ruin that battery? Has started right on que after that and keep it on a trickle charger every evening.
Thanks for the forum...

it didn't ruin it,, but its not good on it either... once is OK,, doing it all the time can melt the leads inside of it.. least that's what I used to read.. cagers put out a lot of amps.
Maybe the newer batts are better and can take more abuse ???
Make sure you get a good full charge on her, A tender is not a charger,, they just maintain your batter.. probably a good 3-4 hr ride or use a Trickle charger to bring the batt back up to full charge.
