Hello from Charleston!
Hello All!
New (in the last month or so) to these forums.
New Harley owner too. I picked up a sportster as part of a craigslist trade!
2000 XL883C, supposedly with a 1200 conversion, for a 2000 Ford Expedition. I think I got the better part of THAT deal.
I tired the "chopstick" trick to measure the cylinder, but it came up larger than an 883 and smaller than a 1200. I am going to bring the bike up to the next Dyno Day at the local Harley shop. Apparently they do them pretty often on saturdays around here.
I've been reading around here for the last month. This is a GREAT site for info! I went to do look at some pictures and came across the NOOB ban that needs 5 days and 5 posts. So this is post #1 to get me rolling.

A big welcome to you from North Charleston.
When you're in our area, don't forget to take a tour of scenic Rivers Avenue. You'll thrill at our lovely variety of pawn shops, check-cashing/title loan places, and Burger Kings.
Just keep your head down; you'll be fine.
