OK just replaced the tires on my Road Glide and just saying in just the 200 miles I have put on the new tires I am very happy. I am not a hard rider at all and yes I got 31,000 out of the OEM Dunlop tires that came on the bike. It will be interesting to see how these tires stack up. I no longer have a nice growl from the tires in turns or running down the road and the Michelins don't follow lines or cuts in pavement like the OEM tires did. Just saying picked them up on Amazon and saved about 50% and local shop put them on and for me,,, very happy,, Just saying!!! Bring on the summer weather!!!1
The nick name comes from when I was much younger and in a PD.. After chasing a suspect for seven blocks the young kid gave up.. During booking all he could say was "For an OLD White MF you RUN HARD" Well other guys in booking ,, the nick name stuck!!!
I really like my Commander II's, They are a tad firm at 40 psi. If I accelerate a little too much a little too soon usually in a tight right turn the rear will chirp/break loose for a split second. First couple o times was a bit of a supprise. I suppose any tire would on new or slick or painted blacktop though.

I have 2015 FLHXSE Street Glide CVO. I went down on it due to rear tire not gripping the road when I was turning at an intersection. Not happy with the Dunlops. Anyone have any suggestions for a tire that will provide better traction?
I am replacing Avon Venom X on a 92 FLSTC. It has spoke wheels and will need an inner tube. I am primarily interested in safety, good braking, wet pavement handling. I do not care too much about mileage. I have Michelins on my care and on a 2013 Kawasaki Versys. So I am leaning towards the Commander for the Harley.
I put Commanders 2's on my 01 (researched tires that work good in the rain).
They are way better than stock (HD) tires hands down and work good in the rain.
Looking at putting them on my new 09.
This is gonna sound snarky but after 31,000 miles I suspect that tire was shaped like a 2X4 therefore an ATV tire would feel better.
I have heard of these high mileage stories for years. Usually around 10k mine are so squared off they feel dangerous in the twisties. Don't know how you guys do it.
