Are '07 & '08 Rear Wheel Spacers The Same Width?
I have an '07 FLHX that came with spoke wheels. I didn't care for them so I bought a used set of the mag wheels off an '08. ($60) I picked up a set of 25mm axles from a friend, but he didn't have the wheel spacers. I ended up using my '07 spacers. (I'm only using the rear wheel. I have a 21" DNA up front with the 1" axle)
Anyway, after installing the rear wheel, I noticed my belt pulley was pretty close to the swing-arm, as if the wheel was setting too far to the left. I'm wondering if the rear wheel spacers are the same width on both bikes? (2007 & 2008 Street Glide) I couldn't find any specs on the widths of the 25mm bearing compared to the 1" bearings.
Thanks for the help,
- Arch

The different bearing width requires different spacers. To properly mount that wheel you need to replace the bearings and inner sleeve. The 9247 bearings and a 43517-00 sleeve are used, along with the '07 outer spacers and 1" axle. The thin bearing spacer behind the bearing is not used.

I'll also add...
You should have asked first...Better move as stated above would be to re-use all your 1" stuff. It's the "Same" wheel.
Also lt1-xjs description is for wheels used originally for the 2008 model only because HD used the earlier wheel castings while introducing the thinner 25mm ID bearings...needing a bearing shim/spacer
The front spacers are different also. It's just that the left spacer is close enough in size that you didn't notice it yet... Look real close at your left caliper to rotor alignment...it wouldn't be centered.
