Default Swapping 07 Deluxe wheels out for 07 Street Glide wheels

The Street wheels are laced chrome profile and appear to be identical to my Deluxe wheels(except mine are stock not profile). They both have 25 mm axles but according to the parts finder they have different bearings. Deluxe are 9276 and Street are 9247. I am assuming this means the OD is the difference so I should use the Street bearings and sleeves. Am I right?

Take another look at a parts website! H-D did some odd things IMHO, until they standardised on 25mm bearings across the range. If your DL is a genuine 2007 model, the rear axle and bearings are 3/4", however if it is a late 2007 build, but early 2008 model, it has the metric size. The '07 SG however has 1" ID bearings and axles in both wheels, unless it also is a late '07/early '08.

Harley introduced sealed ball races around 2000, but of different sizes across the range, for some perverse reason. All early sealed-bearing wheels however use the same OD bearings - 3/4", 1" and 25mm, so they can be interchanged, with suitable central spacers. I have a 2004 Deuce rear wheel and 2010 SG front wheel in my Glide, but with 1" bearings in both.

Thanks for the info. So I just need to measure my axle and use the suitable bearing and sleeve.

Yes, check what you actually have! What I did was buy the H-D bearing kits, which come with bearings plus the correct spacer. For details check the H-D website Shop tab.

The build date on my Deluxe is 11/06 so I'm assuming it is considered an early model with the 3/4" axle but I will confirm it. HD wants $90 for a bearing kit, I'll look somewhere else.

Sounds as if your bike is indeed an '07. Check the price of the correct bearing spacer! I live in the UK, but reckoned it was simpler and a decent price to get the kit.
