Default Laced wheel direction of rotation

Does it matter which way a laced wheel is mounted on a motorcycle as long as the offsets are equal?

Specifically are they designed to rotate one way versus the other as far as the lace pattern goes?

Does it matter which side of the bike the valve stem goes?

I don't know about the front, but the rear seems to always have the valve stem on the side of the brake. Also the brake disc bolts are smaller than the pulley or sprocket. As far as front. It doesn't matter.

Yep the rear seems to be as you say. So the spokes are not directional on later Harley hubs as a minimum. Thanks.

AFAIK wire-spoked wheels have never been directional. On a Harley it is usual for the angled valve to stick to the right side of the bike, where it is accessible while parked on the jiffy.
