Default Tire beads...does the kind matter? Dynabeads, Tyrebeads, EZ Beads, Counteract

Have Dynabeads currently, but the price is pretty high compared to other options.
Can anyone shed light on the difference between these products?

Does it matter which one you use? pros/cons etc?

If the price difference wasn't so great I prob wouldn't care, but, Dynabeads are at least 2x the price of a few other brands shown here for example.

ALSO, do beads 'go bad' if sitting on a shelf? I am guessing not, but worth asking. If they get old, maybe they get brittle etc and don't balance as well, or they break apart easier....Cheaper to buy in bulk, but if they don't store well.....

(not interested in Slime, RideOn etc, so please no suggestions to try that. Thanks)

I have never used anything but DynaBeads, so can't comment. How much would you really be saving? DynaBeads are like $12.

How many ounces are you getting for $12? and where are you buying them? Bike requires 2oz front, 2oz rear (2008 FLHTCU), maybe even 3oz rear.

Pic below is about the going rate I'm seeing for 2oz or so. I'd need 2 of these which is well over $12.

DB pricier then two of the other options in first post. Seems like they went up about 50% in price since I bought 2 years back (maybe I just found a good deal).

Also unclear why I cannot buy these locally.
No bike shops here carry them (metric/indie/HD dealer). Few places I called, the parts & service didn't seem to know what I was talking about when I asked about beads. Will have to ask at the auto parts store next time I'm in. Maybe they carry them.

I run 3oz of DynaBeads in my rear tire. They all accomplish about the same thing. I don't see a way they could "go bad" I'd think they have a damn near infinite shelf life. The DB material is ceramic if I'm not mistaken. We used to use golf ***** in 18 wheeler tires lol just get more than you need and save the rest for the next tire change. Also, if you're sweating $2-3 bucks for tire balancing, you may be in the wrong hobby.

I ordered my tire and beads off Amazon, mounted the tire, dumped the beads in and never looked back.

$2-3 for tire balancing? More like $10-20, and thats per tire...that doesn't include some folks taking it to a shop to have the old tire pulled off rim and new tire put on the rim etc. extra $20-30 there per tire. Throw in new valve cores....another $5-7

not 'sweating' anything, between 2 Harleys, multiple tire mounts etc, it pays to price shop and be a bit proactive about it.

Rarely if ever found a best tire price on Amazon. I buy other items there, but never a tire.

Thanks.

Edit: The Counteract above is even more expensive then Dynabeads

Had some Dunlop Elites put on, tire guy said no balancing required. I questioned it, and discussed on other posts. Some also said they required no balancing either. Anyhow, up at 75 mph little front balancing needed so I picked up a glass bead kit. The question is, should I put in "how many ounces", it came with 2 oz. Put in one see how it goes, or dump the 2 oz. in.

yea some use the red dot on the tire and align w/ the valve core I believe. I have never done that.

Front is prob 2oz, 2-3oz rear for good measure. (this assumes its a touring bike). Def not only 1 oz. Dynabeads has a little chart on their site you can look up if I recall.
