Default Rim or wheel

IMHO,
a rim is what a tire goes on.
A rim with a tire is a wheel.

There is a rim on the edge of the rim.

Thank you all for your help.
the OP will consider this thread closed..

... about the oil

Default I stand corrected

I looked up definitions.
it is commonly called a wheel.
The rim is the edge.
eand there is a footnote based in where someone grew up.

With building race cars, street cars, we have always called them "rims".

What about settlers who moved out west on a wagon… they had wheels, but not a tire in sight.
Same can be said about a locomotive…

Use 1" OE# 9247 bearings (as 88 mentioned above) and custom wheel spacers. The wider bearings will protrude slightly.
OR
Use 1" aftermarket bearings (same width as the 25mm bearings) and use semi custom wheel spacers

You'll also need 08-later Brembo Calipers for the OE Impeller / Enforcer 11.8" rotors (the 2002 use 11.5")
OR
Aftermarket Impeller / Enforcer 11.5" rotors to work with your 2002 Calipers

.
Looking into doing this as well on my 01 Ultra. So the 2008 and later 25mm axle works with the early 00-08 forks? Just wanted to make sure the diameter was the same.

The rim is part of the wheel; the tire is a separate part that goes on the rim. A wheel is a hub, spokes, and a rim. The assembly is a "wheel and tire."
