Default Help! New 80 Spoke wont fit !

I got the 80 spoke front Harley wheel and matching wheel kit and dropped it off at my local wrench to install. I get it back and wheel is offset to right 1/2 inch, not inline with fender. He says only way it would work and that the valve stem always goes on the right side, rotor on the left. When I got home I removed rotor and swapped sides with it and it lines up perfectly with rotor and wheel is centered but the spacers are wrong. Im assuming he didnt use the spacers that came in wheel kit so he could install it valve stem on right. Looks like I need 1 1/8 on the left to space rotor properly, I have a 7/8 spacer there now. Anybody experienced this ????????

Make your own spacers: I put Fat Boy cast rims on my '97 FLSTC and used the FB spacers plus cut one to fill space difference. Use the rotor as a "quick line up" since that's where the rotor needs to run then adjust the spacer thickness for the brake pad alignment. One pad is stationary while the other moves in the brake piston!

Okay after screwing around with this thing 3-4 hours, the destrucions are wrong. For flstc you have to use both bearing spacers, with the small one on the rotor side, big one on the hub side. The info says only use small beraring spacer on the rotor side only . THANKS HARLEY !!!

LOL When I P/U a pair of FB casts F & R off a friend, when the local dealer put new tires on the rims I asked if the same spacers for the stock spokes worked for the cast FB's and they said yeah. When I [tried] to ride off after install my rear rim slipped over about 1'' and the front about same [wasn't even noticeable in pre-ride inspect] ended up doing as I describe briefly above! Glad you got it all worked out! The non-rotor side is probably to compensate for the missing "fake" drum brake-beauty thing...
