I just had E3's installed on my 2008 Street Glide. Riding around town I thought the new tires handled great! I got out on the highway and noticed at around 75 the front end started to wobble. When I got home thought I would check the air pressure, which turned out to be fine, but I noticed that the tire was marked "mount on rear only".

Could this be the cause of the wobble, what will happen if you run the rear tire on the front wheel?

 

As you already found out, not ideal to run a rear tire on the front. Take it back to the shop that did the install and have them fix the snafu. BTW, welcome.

 

I was reading a Trike Forum topic regarding a rear (two-wheeler) tire mounted on the front of a trike. They mounted it in reverse. Their reasoning is that they get many more miles from it.....just passin' it on.

 

take it back, that's a no no, don't play around with tires, your life depends on it...
