Dumb question...are car tires that safe on a bike, since they seem more flat than round?

I want to try a CT. 2013 SG. The only issue is, I have a 17x6 rear wheel. The MT is a 200/55/17. Does anyone know of a CT that will work for sure on my bike.

I can attest to running a michelin primacy on my GW 10,000 miles later still looks brand new.
