These were the old seals. No nicks or breaks, but the were noticeably harder than the new ones. I suspect it was just age that caused the leak

The "special tools" I used. The top and bottom allen wrenches are ones I modified to reach the screws holding the intake to the heads.

This trip was a sendoff for my wife's cousin and his wife. That's the '14 CVO they flew down from WA to pick up after buying it sight unseen. Beautiful bike. We parted ways here, in Carmel. They went north, and I went back south for the 154 mile ride home. Here 91 octane was still $6.99 but better than Big Sur.

Big Sur is NOT the place to fuel up. Best to go another 26 miles to Carmel, where its not cheap, but nowhere near these prices. This is 91 octane, at the Valero station pictured at the River Inn.

River Inn Motel, Big Sur, CA. A very unique place. Just behind the motel is a shallow river, that they have chairs setup in. You can sit in the shade, with your feet in the cool running water.

This is his bike, he bought sight unseen. Flew about 900 miles to pick it up, and is riding it back home. We will ride about 100 miles north with them up the coast tomorrow, to help them on their way, lol.
