Got beltguard back already after dropping off yesterday. Kid did a great job. $15!? Got it on, to accent the pulley. Also pulled axle AGAIN to correctly rout ss cable. I had it flopped on the outside of the swingarm. All torqued to spec. (FINALLY BROKE DOWN AND GOT A SERVICE MANUAL off of eBay. $70, not bad)

I got mine on today Dude. Wrestling that big tire sucked. I hope ya get yours figured out. They look nice. Yours looks just like mine. My bike is an 18 softie, but the cover is listed for 17 to older somfin. If that cover doesn't lay flat against the pulley, well, then, IT DONT FIT. EVEN IF YA TRIED TO SPACE IT OUT LIKE IN YOUR PICS, ITS SURE TO INTERFERE WITH YOUR LOWER BELT GUARD and look like shit from the rear. What year FLD ya got again? Is a FLD a Switchback?

Managed to get my pulley cover on. I really like it. That tire was plenty to wrestle with, lol. Got a SM comming soon, I'll look up and double-check torque values against what I've heard. Posta be warm Thursday, but immenent rain. Boo!

Replacing all the cables. Sat ALONG time, getting it ready for new life. Carb redone too. Wouldn't run right. Accel pump dia rotted out. New bad ass battery (high dollar) new front tire.

Here's my Kuryakyn one. Took awhile to install cuz of a tidy light wiring, but I like it. Be a prob if ya wanted saddlebags, but I don't like anyway.

This would probably qualify for a Queen. '91 fxlr. 9,300mi. Rode the shit out of it when I got it back in '91, but parted with my riding buddies lil by lil. Sat for a long while. I'm convinced it's hard on them. First carb needed gone thru, accelerator pump dia rotted, replaced throttle cables, one froze up and broke, new front tire, new choke cable, wouldn't stay put. Putts beautiful now. Lol.
