I then added the 1/4" round stock to the inside of the fender to add strength. I kept the brace in the stock section of the fender, but removed it from the donor section. I also decided to keep the rivets for the nostalgic "old school" type of look.

I then used the round stock to add some rigidity to the inside of the fender. Formed it to follow the curve and welded it into place. The brace was kept in the section of the stock fender. The donor brace had to be removed. I also decided to keep the rivets in order to preserve the "old school" look.
