Many people may do this differently. I decided to drill a hole behind the frame and use a plastic hole plug (same as what they use behind the turn signal bar) in order to run my wires through the fender. I thought this was a much cleaner look.

Tighten everything down and admire. (It is much easier to do all of this work with the fender off and upside down on your kitchen table - but definitely not necessary).

And now.. Fireworks! I also installed the Run/Turn/Brake conversion kit at the same time using red lenses with trim ring visors. Sure lights up the rear now!
