This roller is a metal bracket on outside of swingarm made by iron bags circa 1990. It has a nylon roller outside the pin that goes through from front to back. Iron bags is a company who hand makes leather hard bags. In the era of mine, they used a galvanized metal back, with a roughly 6x6 inch extension, maybe 4x4 that covered this roller and when bags are full, makes contact with roller to keep in place , it works great ! Now days iron bags have a form fitted fiberglass back and use no roller.

Maybe this will clear up neysayers opinions of roller, caliper and bracket. My bracket, mounts to shock mount with a bolt from inside and a pin through each side of bracket which straddles oem tab under swing arm. It is a precision adapter bracket to say least. Its only purpose is to give a spot for this oem caliper which is cast including the bracket as in 1 pc with bolt on caliper half. Mine just allows it to slide for adjustment as it would on a factory swing arm designed for it.

Btw, it is a donor from a 4/4" axled dyna. Not bagger or softail... To the gma fans, that is fine, this brake is much better in my opinion. Ive used gma for customers over the years, dont prefer them, not for function, not for looks, not for cost. Pads for these along with oem rotors are always available, last for a lot of miles. If you wear out oem pads for 2000 to 2007 on your shovelhead very often, you ride it ALOT !!

Another shot from underneath. You can see the mounting bolt going through my mounting bracket into shock mount.

This is a mount on a 2002 up to 2008 bagger swing arm. One could fab something similar and weld it to the swing arm of a shovelhead. I wanted a bolt on unit for my shovel. The next 1 i do will be aluminum or a weld on tab similar to this... The bagger or dyna calipers work best for shovel swing arms because they too used a rectangle tubing swing arm and shocks. Softails are totally different. I have seen ppl use a softail brake, but cut off front mounting point and use a linkage instead. Not a f
