Heat shields were just set in place for pic. the bottom pipe actually fits over the filler shield so you won't see that small gap showing in the pic.

Heat wrap all covered up. On my bike there was a gap between the heat shields directly under the cam cover. Kuryakyn makes a nifty little gap cover, if nothing else gives it a more "Finished look"

When the heat shields are back on you can hardly notice the wrap. I know it stops the heat damage to the reflector and hopefuly keeps the new cam cover from simmering until done.
