This is a properly formed IWB holster. I’ve carried it, as well as others like it long enough to be convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that is has more than enough retention so as to never present a problem. If a strap makes you feel better, then by all means, go for it, but it is not necessary if you have a properly constructed holster.

My wife and I have never traveled on a bike. Just ride around somewhat locally. I’d like to take a trip on it just to see how it works out. Here’s what I’ve come up with so far for luggage. I don’t really like the bag on the handlebars. It usually rides behind the sissy bar and carries my wife a shirt, a few tools, and rain suits. It works great for that, and I hate to leave it behind. I think we can get everything else we’d want in the bags behind the sissy bar in the pic.

Last year, a guy down the road tried to sell me his qd windshield. I kind of wanted it, but wasn’t sure. I got home and decided I did want it. Haven’t caught him home until today. By some miracle, he still had it. I think it’ll make trips a bit nicer. $100 seemed fair too.
