Once your loaded you tie the bikes down as it can get very choppy on the crossing. The ferry ride was fun. I spent some time with some other bikers.

Lucked out big time. Pulled over on the side of the highway and found a $250 room for $40 on Bookings. Pretty sure that is a tent site at a KOA!

The motel across the street where I stayed. A decent motel, clean and not to expensive. There was a small mom and pop down the street, but they wanted the same money for less of a room.

A nice little coffee shop at the junction at Naselle. A very pleasant woman runs the place. I stopped her last year for the first time, and I always will if it is there.

Get out the magnifying glasses and you will be able to see the Astoria bridge. This is very close to the ocean. It is really cool to cross.

Supper a few blocks down. I had a beer, some fish and chips and watched the sunset with a coffee. Nice resturant. Called The Boardwalk in the Shilo Inn Suites.
