This is my first HD ride and I have enjoyed it greatly.
Unfortunately, in August 2013, on the second day of a trip to California, a tractor trailer rig decided that my lane was better even though I was occupying it at the time. The truck crossed over into the passing lane from an on ramp. I swerved to avoid going under the trailer but ran out of pavement. Although banged up and bruised I walked away from the accident. The bike did not fare so well - it was a write off.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
103 " SE Big Bore kit; ported and polished heads; 255 cams; Screaming Eagle compensator; Barnett clutch ; Vance and Hines true duals; SERT; SE breather kit; Vance & Hines Black Tip Monster Ovals; IDS. Hogtunes speakers with tweeter pod; painted inner fairing. A lot of new engine parts, but the same old hand on the throttle. They all make the bike more responsive, cooler on the thighs, and more enjoyable to ride.
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
A few chome pieces to add some glitter. A painted inner fairing for effect. Hog Tune speakers for listening enjoyment. A hidden trailer hitch to tow a Bushtec trailer and make travelling distances more convenient. Plus my wife is happy that shopping is not an issue with the room that the trailer provides.
