When the Gremlin came out in 1970 you could get one for $1800. They said if you could aford a used car you could aford a Gremlin. In 1973 my first new car was a White Gremlin X with Levi interior. Drove that little car everywhere until the fenders fell off.
A couple of years ago I found this on E-bay. One year newer than my 73 but same color and trim.
