The big hamburger looking patch is a skin graft over the muscle transplant they did. I had a total of 70 staples, 140 stitches, 3 pins, 10 screws, 3 plates, and a titanium rod. It took a total of 8 surgeries over 3yrs to get it back to as close to "normal" as it ever will be.

If you look right up on my knee, you can see where the surgeon put her initials, to "make sure she operated on the correct leg"!! I told her if she couldn't tell which one needed the surgery, maybe SHE wasn't the doctor for the job! Luckily she had a sense of humor and understood the early effects of pain killers. lol.
