This 1991 pro street bike is built to shine in the 1/4 mile and to still be able to ride reliably anywhere. I did her as much as I could to be a true old school style custom, yet not your common one. This bike was built matching numbered as well and remains a true Harley. Here is the work in her.......
PAINT: Black lacquer base coat done to a mirror finish with 7 different candy pearls (House of Kolors) in striping/graphics and a mural of the Sun God from Led Zeppelin and everything is under PPG urethane clear coat. Paint is about 12 yrs old and still in great shape and shines like a mirror.
DRIVE LINE: The block, the heads, and the trans are all high polished on their outer casings with all bolt-ons in chrome. Heads are also ported and polished with over sized valves, Wiseco Pistons, Black rods, 10:1 compression, 500/222 cams, "Accel" Ignition, "S&S" jetted carb with modified choke, adjustable chromed oil tubes, 5-speed trans with a "PM" 4-over chrome sprocket conversion with Nickel plated heavy duty O-ring chain and all bolted up with machined 1/2 inch bolts on the rear rim due to the bikes torque. I recently installed new upgraded valve guides, new upgraded "Wiseco" pistons and rings, new clutch cable, new throttle cable, new speedo/odometer cable, new wheel bearings, new LED tail light, and a tune up with oil change of course... lol
SUSPENSION: 11.5 inch "Progressive" Suspension in rear w/ a 5 dip chromed, widened, and lengthened swing arm (sent out with the rims to get done) and since it's proven to work beautifully, I stuck with a standard oil filled chrome wide glide as opposed to an inverted front end but did a slight rake using the chrome triple trees. Gives a nice look to the bike. Sought of like a really mild chopper look but the handling and suspension is excellent and the bike stance is nicely aggressive, yet still level.
MISCELLANEOUS STUFF: "Fatboy" rims that were sent out of state to be 5 dip chromed and then diamond chipped, Chrome " Chubby" drag bars with 3" risers, "Corbin" gel Gun fighter seat, sometimes she wears a two piece, two rider "Mustang" touring and solo seat that is studded with fringes. Chrome custom done rear flush mounted fender struts with flush mounted "Arlen Ness" rear directionals, chromed headlight off a shovel head, chrome "Arlen Ness" Forward controls, Chrome "PM" slotted rotors, "PM" chrome calibers, "Arlen Ness" chrome front and rear reservoir, tucked wires and steel braided lines, Chrome "Arlen Ness" switch housings with stock black switches, chrome dash (tank mounted) with speedometer, odometer, and ignition. It has a "Drag Specialties" mini tachometer on the drag bars and oil temp gauge on the oil reservoir, Bob tailed rear fender, matching done Fat boy front fender, and sport bob double neck fuel tank. Oil reservoir is stock and painted to match with graphics and striping as well. I tried my best for the design on this bike to just flow.
There is more done to the bike and there was no expense spared using all top names, but these are the main things off the top of my head to get an idea of the work in her. Read more ยป
