The Valve on the right is a cheap-o from amazon (11.3 mm) and the one on the right is the TPMS valve. If you look at the the base that goes into the rim, they're basically the same size.

This is the TPMS (8.3 MM) in the rim. The gasket sits flush in the hole. I installed the sensor, put the tire on, aired it up, and no leaks. The TPMS sensor screws on clamps it tight and seals it. If you want, you can opt to use the the FOBO gaskets (I did because I ordered them) and it will go over the valve stem and take up that space. It does make it a PITA getting the sensor screwed on though.

After installing, I took the bike to HD and the tech did his thing. It was first time but he figured it out. He made real nervous at first because he said if he flashes the ECM it would lock it or something like that. I didn't see what he was seeing but it all worked out. If anyone decides to do this, I highly recommend going to the dealer and talk to them to make sure they are willing to do it. Apparently there are alternatives to the Digitech but I can't speak on it.
