I replaced the factory analog air temp gauge with this Dakota Digital combination GPS compass/air temp unit. Mostly because I wanted a compass. I moved the Harley temp sensor from the left side of the steering head to the left backside of the fairing. Displays the temp more accurately now.

This is the outer shoe from my 2011 103 with 64k miles. Would've soon worn to where the rollers would hit, probably would've gone to 100k, but I was changing cams. Went with Red Shift tensioners. The inner shoe showed no wear at all. I'd guess that's because the outer chain drives both cams, the inner only one cam.

The black piece between the perch and the cable ferrule is black anodized aluminum. It's not plastic, although it wouldn't bother me if it was. It's in compression, can't imagine it breaking.

Very minimal wear on the Baker Armored Attitude adjuster, grooves are no more than .005 deep. Only complaints are, it does require periodic adjustment. Though that's only once every year for the miles I ride. The other issue is the whine it makes on decel, which is why I've replaced it with the Southern Oregon Hotbikes HB125-07 hydraulic tensioner.

The JB Weld I used instead of the expensive MoCo adhesive is holding up very well. No signs of cracking or breakdown at all.

I just installed this Dakota Digital gauge last week. I really wanted it for the compass function, the temp is kind of a bonus. Also reads altitude, interesting to note, but not something that matters to me. Works great, I'm very pleased.

Earlier this year, I mounted a steering stabilizer on the underside of my lower triple tree. It maybe helped just a little, but not nearly the improvement I was looking for. So I removed it and looked elsewhere. The swingarm stabilizer is what made the most difference. Looks like they should all work the same, so pick whatever brand you like.

Pretty much the only filter wrench I use anymore. Never slips, misses the crank sensor. Happened to find it in the bargain bin at Menards, only $2. Figured I'd throw it away if it didn't work, but now I could throw all those other ones away and never miss 'em!

Could only find the black one at a discount, so I bought it and polished it to match my other gauges. Works great, temp appears to be about as accurate as any of my other vehicles. Compass is unaffected by the speaker magnets or any steel near it since it operates by GPS.

I use this, $8 delivered off Ebay. Holds great, captures all 4 corners, easy to put phone in and take out. Swivels for best viewing, pretty solid even over the rough stuff. Better than I expected.
