The rear turn signals are working. I got my front turn signals ordered. Now i just have to get some decent mirrors that i can actually see with.

Next up is exchanging tanks. I am not sure how a yellow with black flamed tank is going to look but i will be finding out soon.

Wide glide is what, only and an inch wider than mid glide? That one inch makes a huge difference.

Here is the where i had to extend the bar hole outwards so the clutch clamp wouldnt pinch the wires again and short them out. The elongated hole looks like crap but it dod the trick. Plus the entire hole is covered by the hand controls so no ine can see it.

It's hard to tell but the road is flooded almost all the way to the center line. 30 feet behind me the entire road is flooded out with about 6" of water. It doesn't rain often in AZ but during monsoon the street can go from being totally dry to being covered with 12" some times 24" of rain in a matter of minutes.

Here is just a small glimpse of the aftermath of the monsson. I passed about 5 downed trees during my one mile trip to wallymart to get zip ties and hogh strength fishing line to pull the wires with.

You can see where the wires got pinched. I first thought about using liquid electrical tape to fix the wires but that would be the half ass way of fixing them. I actually think im going to pull the right side back out also because the plastic conduitgot pulled down and there is three inches of wire exposed at the conteol end. Not a big deal but i might as well do it right and fix it.

Here is the finished product all ready to be mounted. Unfortantly four straight hours of working in 109° heat took its toll and mounting will have to wait until tomorrow. Only on AZ is it 109° at midnight.

You can see here that the heat shrink got skinned up every step of the way diring the pull. You can also see the corner i was talking about that is razor sharp on the inside.

Hand control wires after the connector was removed. A site called Lawabidingbiker.com has a really good video up on youtube showing how to remove the pins from the connector. It's really very easy.

Here is my right and left side hand controls together. There is six wires total. Both sides have a blue and a black wire. The left side also has a purple wire and the right side has a brown wire. Black is negative, blue is constant hot to allow the signals to also run as always illuminated marker lights and the brown and purple make either light blink. That's it, it's that simple. I now feel like a fool for stressing the issue so much.

The bars really accentuate the new wide glide front end. The Joker Machine grips are going to look great on the Zombie bars.

The two wires poking out to the right that still have the heat shrink on them are the two that i snipped to remove the mirror. They will be the two that i need to lengthen and feed back through the bars to provide power to my new turn signal. I will have to break out my meter tomorrow and start testing.

Look at those bars! I fell in love with them the first time that i saw them on one of Pete Peirson of Rocket Bobs bike builds. The funny thing is, i seem to be the only one that does live them. Screw em, they can buy their own bike and run what ever bars they want.

Here is the new WG front end with the wheel mounted. You can also see the wider wheel spacers that Hawg Halters provided with the mid to wide conversion kit.

Hawg Halters rotor Spacer. You can see the gap between the hub and spacer that wasn't even. Hopefully i got the issue fixed for good.

Fresh new gloss black powder coat on the new wide glide front end. I have to say i wish i would have stuck with the matte finish. I don't know if gloss scrathes easier or if the scrathes are just more noticeable.

Here is the factory spacer that came out of my Forks. I ended up having to cut a few inches off to get it to the correct length so I could have my proper preload. Like I said you can also use PVC pipe which supposedly makes for a quieter riding Fork.

If you look close, the outer rightside of the fork oil seal has a slight ledge that sticks out, the side with the ledge faces down during installation.

Here is where the oil lock/fork stop is covering the bottom holes i drilled. RT says it will not be an issue so i hope they are correct. If you drill yours only drill above the factory holes.
