Trike 14 Things have got a little slow on the building right now so the air bags, rear brakes wheel spacing and pulley spacing is is where we are at now. We are waiting on parts like the tires and the custom pulley spacer, as we decided we wanted to push the wheels out as wide as we could so this left me needing a custom 2 3/4 inch pulley spacer to get the belt to line up proper and a spacer that wide would need it's own wheel bearing and crush tube. I am having that made now. The other real trick was the rear brakes them self. I ended up using a pair of brembo p108 calipers the left side I was able to find complete with custom billet bracket. and for the right I just ordered the matching caliper and will duplicate a right side with fliping of the mounting positions with the CNC machine. Surprising I know the right should have been the easy side but I was never able to find a matching caliper that would work as a pair and even rear brakes was a must. many people ask about the one wheel drive and the pull but that I would not think half as much about as that painic stop with 1 brake that would be a quick toss right into traffic or the ditch . So one of the biggest issues I had was getting matching rear brakes. I got a real nice deal on set of Performance Machine 2 piece rear rotors for 60.00 each. I think that should bring this bad boy to a halt ASAP. So as it stands now it looks like about 360 per side to get brake Brembo calipers, billet brackets and the PM rotors. When my spacers arrive will weld the tabs for the brakes on the frame it will mount like it would on any softail when we are done, right now it just hanging down it not staying there.

Trike 13 Ok Now I hope this will smooth out the ride a bit. We added a air ride to the seat. This little system was a real jem to find for a just under 300.00 and is the same type system JP cycles sells for 1200.00 bucks.

Trike 12 Still playing with the cut but there you go at least we got the 2 fenders on. Just waiting for them skins. Need them 300's bad. Should be here on monday. Would have just ordered up a set, but Billy said hold the phone get them thru a friend or a friend *LOL* ;-) BTW there is those nice 75.00 chrome hand controls looks good. I also change to a 4" 1.25 riser here. Now remember this bike is for my 125lbs wife boys and the fat little modigger is her taste funny? Somehow can't wait to see the look on the boys faces at bike night

Trike 09 Yep smoke'em if you got 'em Now there you go go the rear fenders in. By the way yes that is a broom handle thru the wheel *LOL* we have to get the axles polished to fit yet. KC international help me out with these. Real nice 13.5 inch rear fenders on cut for right side drive to use on the left side of the bike and one uncut. Nice heavy metal should work out real nice. We plan to do a bit of cutting on these to style them up. Nice pieces for under 300 a pair to my door but KC is a bit of a crook on shipping to tell the truth but 13.5" fenders are not so easy to come by but I just had to have them 300 tires ya know !!

Trike 08 Now we are getting somewhere here. I found a smoking deal on a 21 X 2.25 twisted spoke front wheel with rubber, rotor, bearing, spacers for about 75 bucks and the thing was mint this was one of those cragslist deals. and to top it off I got a nice set of HD chrome controls- master, Levers, perch and switch covers with hardware for 75.00 more from the same guy. Oh ya not that was cool!! The front fender here is a Milwaukee iron Razor I got that from the guy I got the front end from for 100.00 but I think that's got to go myself. I am looking at the Yaffee Wild wide glide fender now or a Yaffee blank uduit. Now how about that nice little 10.5 x 18 rears. got a pair of these babys for 600 with hubs. They have 1 inch axles and are Polished billet. Chrome to come later, but they saved a bunch of money now plus they are pretty cool. I got the matching pulley too for another 100. Chad sent me a set of PM brake rotors for them but it looks like they got to go back. They need to have 2.5 inch holes and only had 2" hole for 3/4 axle wheel but the good think is I can still use the one rotor on the front if I get the 2 rear that fit and match. I could only get the 2 rear wheels for now and I am still looking for the front to match. Let me tell you its a real pain to get 3 wheels to match, get the style you want and do it sll for cheap!! Phuu 2 months I was looking for a deal on the right wheels. So the spoke in the front is just a place holder till I can get that last big dog billet wheel I need.

Trike 07 The dash you see here is a part of the thunder heart wiring system the bike will use. It had a VDO electonic speedo LED lights and had the key lock with a lexan cover this was just another one of them great deals from a place I have bought most of my parts from Bikergarage101 on eBay. Chad is the owner there and he is real good dude to deal with. He gets lots of those closeout deals from guys like big dog choppers and such. So he hooked me up with this for 175 beans not bad when it had a retail of 500. Love those deals!!

Trike 06 Billy just had to get a leg over it to check it out. He is the Painter for Portland collision here on town where I live. Him and his Dad own the shop and mostly do custom hot rods and collision repair so the bike thing for him is just for fun. Lucky for me Beer and a burgers get the job done so that helps my buget big time but we have been known to drink just a bit *LOL*

Trike 05 The frame was built by Beaberbuilt Choppers in Gibsonburg, OH. Tony up there is a super guy to work with. He built this frame out of Chrome Moly Tubing and it's all TIG welded. He does some real nice work and did this one to spec for 1250. I will say that I would never have a frame ever built again with out using the moly. The frame was very light! I will get the spec's out on the frame and post them later this post was spare of the moment, so I am sure to have to edit a bunch so bare with me.

Trike 04 Just had to see what a wheel looked like being mine did not arrive yet. But at this point the bike now has a 111ci SS Evo motor, SS carb with a New revtech 5 speed. For this trike I have to offset the tranny 1.5" So I picked up a 1.5 chrome offset primary for the 89-93 softail along with a used outer primary for the same year. I think I had about 80 bucks in those 2 pieces and the inner was brand new with bearing and seals.. The front end I have on the bike is a American Suspension 63mm inverted with the phantom brake line and built in front caliper 10 over with 3 degrees at the tree . Yes Look Mom no brake lines here!! a nice little piece I picked up for about 800 brand new well almost new for one of thise guys with to much money that dropped 2500 on the 10 over front end and then thought he wanted a springer after 2 weeks. Oh well one of those my loss you gain deals.

Trike 004 Here we moved the bike to my buddies shop (Billy) He will be the one that does the painting. After we got it set in place we hung the forks on. There is no neck bearing in yet at this point but I just had to see the front end on the bike. We also started to play with the seat position an the tank mounting position as well. We will get back to that when we mount the new air bags and get the seat in its final resting place.

Trike 001 I just started hanging my first few parts on the bike after getting the frame home . I put a set of 6 gallon fat bobs with bolt it AC bungs, Yaffee roadster oil tank and a corbin solo seat from a FLHR with billet shocks. I picked up the fat bobs for 59.00 the Yaffee oil tank for 100 and the corbin for a 150.00 and the legend forward contrls for 225. Oh ya this was even better the new wild 1 bars for 62 bucks brand new. I not going to bother tell you about the shocks for the seat because I am nuking them for a air ride seat suspension. I know about now you saying what happen to the budget. Well I pick that up for 300 for the same thing JP cycles sells for 1200 or more. The guy that makes the one that JP sells is a crook. That unit is a little more refined but is a not need for anyone that is building a custom chop.
