this is what was left of the bolt that was rattling around in my primary for a few states. and the replacements ones. total damage:that new Baker tranny rod, the clutch basket, my new Barnett clutches....... i was not happy. again, Alabama Biker Supply, Huntsville, Alabama......

do you think that there is something missing here? Alabama Biker Supply, Huntsville, Alabama. when they changed my belt, this is how they reassembled my primary. yeah, i ll recommend them to all of my friends....... i heard a rattle in Idaho... just a few miles away from home.

Paul Yaffee Bagger Nation Bagger Bars. 12". my other had 20 inch tall, 1 1/2 inch diameter fat apes. cross country, yeah, my shoulders hurt, but i looked cool! lol! not gonna do that again, i am building comfort into this one. also, the Linbar, in addition to the 1 inch spacers on the floor boards. multiple positions to put your feet, and with the highway pegs installed, even more positions available.

ok, T-Man performance 95" kit. stage 1 heads, and he cut my jugs. i used Zippers Performance, Red Shift Cams, the .577 gear drives, the S&S gear drive kit. (i will never use chain drive again) so, those cams recommended the compression be 9.25-10.25. so, i had him cut the pistons to 9.5:1. SMOOTH!!!!!!! WOW!!!!! power is good, about 100 hp and 100 tq. nothing to brag about, but it does move out smartly. butt, it is the smoothest motor that i have ever operated.

one thing that i did not do on my other build, that i did on this one, is i stripped the factory textured powder coat from the inner primary, and had it coated 20% gloss black. not a huge deal, but, it matches the outer, as my other had a line that was definitely different. the clutch is nothing major. factory with Barnett clutchplates and springs. also an EZ Clutch Cam. no more smoked left forearm!

the bottom end is still stock. this motor dumped its crank 8,000 miles ago, and the case was split, and a new crank installed, so i left it alone, and went with a 95" kit from T-Man Performance. this guy WAS an Amsoil user. hmmmmm, i only know of three harleys that dropped their crank. not race bikes, one bone stocker, and two that were hopped up a bit. what did they have in common??? Amsoil...... i use Torko. never had an issue. to each their own...

okay, the 200 king had the old style swing arm. with the clev block alignment and tensioner. fuck that! i used my 2004 swing arm. Custom Cycle Engineering sells a kit with all the stuff you need (minus the swing arm) to do the conversion. this is awesome!

new wiring harness form harley, $700. worth it. this is a 2000 king, but, i am putting my fuel injection system from my 2004, so different years, and going form carb to fuelie. i also didnt want to use the old oil soaked and abused harness form my 2004, that has 93,000 miles on it...

ok, the exhaust. d and d, fatcat. i got one on my other bike, and i was disappointing. the performance was out of this world. the fit and finish was perfect. the coating was all fucked up, and it pitted, and rusted in 11 months. see next pic. so, they sent me another one. and i put it on my bike. on the first one, D and D's welder showed up to work with his head on right, but, the coater was on crack. with the second pipe, the coater showed up to work with his head on straight, but, the welder had some serious issues. pipe fell off in colorado. the flanges stayed in the head, and the pipe broke off. so, for a $850 pipe, i had to spend 20-30 hours, and several hundred dollars to make it right. this is my fix for the first pipe. sent it to my powder coater. is is on my scoot now, and it is perfect.

this is a Hoppe Performance, Sportzilla fairing. wow! awesome piece of equipment. 6 inch speakers, plus separate tweeters. i got it used, so it is a 2008 model. the cd player sucked. and no ipod hookups. also, sounds great up to about 65-70 mph. i am putting a new set of speakers, and an amp from Biketronics. and a new marine stereo from another place. i want it to have the usb input for my ipod. but, the fairing is 4 inches lower, and 5 inches narrower than a harley batwing. so, if you have a lowered bike, or just dont want that big thing on the front of your scoot, this thing is bad ass.

i also had the skins powder coated (plastic were painted, obviously). all skins, fenders, side covers, tank, fairing, saddlebags, and tourpak were shiny black. all hard parts, floorboards, engine parts, forks, light set and struts were 20% gloss black powder coat.

and it begins! that thing behind the frame is my new Baker DD6. $3,000.00. hmmmm, if i would have known what a pain in the ass it was going to be, and that i was going to have to spend another $800.00 to make it work how i wanted it to, i would have spent $3,000.00 on blankets, or wooden horses, or rubber chickens.... if you have a 6 speed, keep it, but if you are running a 5, KEEP IT.

the rims and frame went red. when i saw the rims, before all the stuff was bolted on, i thought it was too much. but, with all of the pulleys and rotors, i was put back at ease.

down to the frame. powder coat is Bengal Red. so, essentially, i built a red and black bike, it is just backwards from most....

DSC00767way too much chrome for me. this bike did run when i bought it. but, it was a borderline basket case. neglect. bottom line. these bikes can run for a long time. much better track record with the 2 cams than the evos. (no offense) but this is going to be my "old faithful" touring bike. getting rid of the carb, and putting my other bike's fuel injection on it.
