A Closer Look at the 2021 Harley-Davidson Street Bob 114
Harley's lightest Softail gets a major infusion of power for the new model year.
Intriguing Offering
Harley recently pulled the covers off its refreshed 2021 lineup, which offers up a few new models, some tweaked old ones, and one bike in particular that features some interesting changes - the 2021 Street Bob 114. The lightest of the Softails received a large infusion of muscle for the new model year in the form of MoCo's Milwaukee-Eight 114, which makes it an intriguing offering well worth a closer look.

BIg Power
The Street Bob's big powerplant provides a big power and performance upgrade on the outgoing 107 - 119 pound-feet of torque versus 107 pound-feet - which equates to 9 percent reduction in the bike's 0-60 time and a 13 percent quicker 60-80 mph acceleration.

Lightweight
The 2021 Street Bob gains a new Ventilator air cleaner with an exposed element, which flows freer than before. And since it weighs in at just 659 pounds, it's also the lightest Softail you can buy with the 114 engine, making it a hot rodder's special as well as the pick of the proverbial litter in terms of how well it handles.

Same but Different
Last year, the Street Bob only came configured to accommodate one person, but for 2021, it's equipped with a standalone pillion and footpegs so you can bring a passenger along. Many other aspects of the bike remain the same, however, including its hardtail-look chassis and single coilover shock located between the frame and swingarm below the seat.

Non-Changes
Other welcome non-changes including the 2021 Street Bob's mini-apes, gaithered fork tubes, spoked wire wheels, a minimalist digital dash, 3.5-gallon tank, and chopped rear fender. Niceties include a USB port and keyless ignition, though ABS is available as an option only.

Room for More
Pricing for the 2021 Street Bob starts out at $14,999, which makes it the second-cheapest Softail in Harley's lineup next to the Softail Standard. That leaves plenty of room in the budget for upgrades, which most will obviously go for.

Solid Choice
Of course, that price is for the Vivid Black model. There are three other color choices available for the new Street Bob - Stone Washed White Pearl, Baja Orange, and Deadwood Green - each of which will cost $400 more. But for those looking for an affordable, fun, and simple two-wheeler, the 2021 Street Bob certainly seems like a solid choice, no matter what color it's finished in.
