Harley Street Bob 114 Is one Lean, Mean, Road-Fighting Machine
The more powerful 2021 Street Bob 114 makes for a cool cruiser or custom build.
Under the Radar
Harley-Davidson has been hard at work revamping its entire lineup in recent months as it looks toward the future. But while the Pan America and Sportster S garner most of the headlines, bikes like the revised Street Bob 114 have flown under the radar a bit. That's truly a shame, because this is an attractive cruiser with plenty of power and style that makes an excellent base for a sweet custom build.

One Big Difference
At its core, the Street Bob 114 is pretty much identical to the Softail Standard in many regards, albeit with a few more shiny add-ons. However, there is one giant difference between the two - the Standard is only available with Harley's Milwaukee-Eight 107, while the Street Bob comes standard with the M8 114 engine.

Impressive Performance
Power isn't an issue with the Street Bob 114, which lays down an impressive 119 pound-feet of torque at just 3,000 rpm, according to Harley. The lightest Softail available with the 114, the new Street Bob is also reportedly 9 percent quicker to 60 mph than the outgoing 107-equipped model, and 13 percent quicker from 60-80 mph. That light weight and light steering also give it impressive cornering performance as well for a cruiser.

Bit Cramped
Aside from carrying the same brakes as the outgoing model, the only real perceivable downside to the Street Bob 114 is its riding position, which can be a bit cramped for taller riders, though the tall bars are a bit of a blessing. Then again, this wasn't designed to be a long haul bike anyway.

Around Town Cruiser
What the 2021 Street Bob 114 excels at is around-town stoplight blasts, with plenty of power on tap and a cool aesthetic that's sure to grab attention. As is the case with all H-D models, it's also infinitely customizable, which means that owners can take it even further in those regards if they desire, and that makes for one seriously appealing offering.

Appealing Choice
The Street Bob 114 starts out at $14,999 in Vivid Black, while choosing one of the other three available colors adds $400 to the price. That makes it the cheapest way to get a Big Twin Harley with the 114 engine, which is larger than the more expensive Indian Chief Bobber - making it a very appealing choice at the moment.
