Hey i just bought a 04/05 sportster 883C. Theold ownerleft out of state and can't get a hold of him. So i dont know where he bought the bike, or if he's the only owner or not. The bike only has 333 miles on it, so i know it just sat around. However i want to run the vin to see when it was made and where it was made. It has no smog on the bike, so i know its not california bike, but its regisistered here. So please if anyone can send a link to a website to decode the vin it would be helpful. All i could find is bikes up to 96.

well if it's an 04 it was made in kansas city mo... and as to when it was made look on the front of the frame there should be a date of manufature sticker on it it will give the month and year it was made
