Hey man,
Can I assume your "Mustache Bar Hd brand" isan engine guard? If so, this is what I have and enjoy.

Three bolt-on points that are painless to deal with. Wrap a heavy quilt/blanket over the back side of your front fender. Install the center (highest point) screw first, the two sides will pull into position nicely. After all three bolts are started, tighten all three in any order you want.

The guard will be installed and your quilt back on your bed before your wife can catch you using a "good" bed spread. Hee heeeee hee.

P.S. If you're not talking about the Mustache Engine Guard; I'm a dope and your wife will be yelling at you because my instructions will make no sense if you're talking about, lets say, handlebars.

Those glued-on foot rests on the mustache bar were designed for use by a bo-legged gumby.

My legs can't wrap around the tank well enough to rest my feet or ankles on the mustache pads.

The pegs I installed (almost immediatly) have been adjusted a few times for that "just right" (for me) feeling. I removed my heal shifter to give my foot more room to move around on the floorboards, and the pegs added to the guard are typically used with my heal resting on the floorboards and the ***** of my feet against the pegs. Once in a while I rest the back of my anckles on top of those pegs.

I feel for everyone waiting on better weather. From what I've read & seen, a few teaser warm days followed by a week of crap.

I always try to remember that not many folks in their "final days" are ever wishing they had worked more overtime. I don't call them "sick days" but rather "I feel to damm good to come to work today" days. Hee heeee heeee.

I really (REALLY) like the look of those new bars! Real nice height, maybe a tad more pullback too? I have my 1 1/4" bars that have that diameter through the risers. Hard (right now) to find risersfor that diameter bar. My internally-wired bars are fine (for me), but I would like a little more pull-back and a tad more height. I figured I would change risers first before re-thinking new bars.

I like the Mustache guard. Aside from getting an alternate comfort area to work with, I gotta say there is a safety factor there too.

For anyone out there that is a boater; I look at the engine guard the same as a sacrificial zinc is to an outboard motor. I'd rather scrape the heck out of that guard first (or sacrifice it first) over all the horrible options of other things getting messed up on the bike that would get hit first without a guard.
