Engine stumbles at 2500 RPM
This one has me frustrated and scratching my head. I've got your basic fuel injected '05 Rode Glide with a high flow air cleaned / Reinheart slipons, V&H Fuel Pak.
Couple of weeks ago, out of the blue this problem started. Just cruising along in any gear, as soon as the tach hits +/- 2500 RMP, the engine starts misfiring. It will do it for as long as I hold that engine speed. If I just let off the throttle a bit or roll on a little, everything smooths out and runs normally. There are no fault codes recorded. I bypassed the the FuelPak and took it for a test run and the problem is still there. I really can't say if the ignition is cutting out or the fuel cuts off. Also when I do light engine braking there seems to be some decel exhaust popping that wasn't there before. This popping occurs roughly at the same dead spot in the RPM band.
Any advice from the experts? Anyone had or heard of this before?

I installed a Fuelpak on my 09 Streetbob after upgrading to Sideshots and SEHB. Mine was acting crazy like that right off. I took it to the shop and had them do the Supertuner and a dyno run. They found a bent pin on the ECM connector and fixed it. I suspect I would have been fine without the 433 dollar SE Supertuner but I am glad I did it because the day I got her out of the shop she dropped an intake valve guide and blew the front cylinder. Harley is covering the whole thing. I hope to get her back soon.
