Default I do not understand this concept.

I do not understand this concept. I put a thunder max auto tune in my bike runs great. The software has these three settings to allow you to cut the bike’s fuel off at a set rpm’s when in decel, and then turn it back on at a set rpm’s. The 3rd setting is to turn it on or off. Is this ok to turn the fuel off when the bike is at decel could it make the bike heat up because of all the friction between the piston and the cylinder moving at 2500 rpm’s and no fuel to cool the engine? Lets say you are going down a step grade and you are using the compression of the engine to slow you down with no fuel would your engine get hot? I am having a hard time under standing this concept why does a stock bike leave the fuel on when at decel?

By the way the settings work very well in decel popping.

As I understand it, this is additional help in excessive popping on decel, fine tuning if you will.

Also, unless you are one of the few who have the firmware upgrade, version 4.5, you can't actually use tese settings, at least they won't load up on my module. Zipper's tells me that it is due out soon, and I see several forum members say they have it.

The stock ECM shuts off the injectors when the manifold pressure gets very low as you decelerate at zero throttle. As an example, if you decelerate from 4000 rpm at zero throttle, the manifold pressure will go down to around 10-12 kPa and the injectors shut off. You can see this with SERace Tuner Data Mode.

Most carsdo thesame thing, Since there is no fuel there is not combustion cycle taking place which means there is lessheat generated. Also the oil pump is still working and youhave air flow across the motor.
