Changed Housing and Levers and now not starting
I just Installed new chrome housing and chrome levers on my 2013 super glide custom, and now it won't start. When i turn the switch, the running lights come on but nothing else, no horn, no high beams, no hazard lights, no gear indicator, no the tripmeter, or tachometer. The break lights work if i press the back breaks but not the front.
I changed everything on the break side first and checked everything before I went to the clutch side, and it all worked fine. But I changed the clutch side (which was way easier, so i thought) but now is when Im having this issue.
Please Help!!!!!

No didn't remove the tank, but I believe Somehow the battery was drained during this whole process. I replaced the fuses and everything has returned to normal minus the battery. I have it on a trickle charger and I'll see what happens in the morning.
also I never did find a pinched wire during my very thorough investigation (removed and reinstalled the housing and levers at least 4 times). Should i be worried that I didn't find anything?

The first thing to do when working on the electrical system of any vehicle is to disconnect the battery negative cable...sounds like you might not have done this.
however...if you did disconnect the battery before changing out the switch housings and two fuses blew after you put it all back together and reconnected the battery, then the problem that blew those two fuses is definitely still there and needs to be located and fixed ASAP before there is more serious damage to your electrical system...

I agree with skinman. Unfortunately there is a steady trickle of queries looking to solve electrical problems after doing work on the bike. Electrics can only work properly when they are mechanically sound! In other words the wires all go to where they should and are not damaged along the way. Carefully disassemble everything you've disturbed and inspect for damaged/trapped wires.

you pinched the wires someplace. they're shorting out, blowing fuses.
also, try putting it in neutral then starting it.
ive redone my clutch pod a couple times and somewhere in there is a starter over-ride button, which makes it so you can only start in neutral, not just with the clutch pulled in. i don't know where it is or how to change it, i just know sometimes its engaged and sometimes its not.

Is this the correct scenario?
1. Your bike is running along just great.
2. You decide to bling out switch housings.
3. You replaced the housings with new chrome ones.
4. Now there are electrical problem(s) that are blowing fuses.
You have short(s) to ground.
Go back over your work to find and fix your problem.
